On March 14, 2008 gold sold for over $1,000 an ounce for the first time in history. It peaked at $1,023 and it still is nearly $950 an ounce. Now is the perfect time to get rid of all the old broken bracelets and chains, single earrings, class rings, unwearable jewelry and even those bad memories cluttering your jewelry box.
Security Jewelers is paying more then anyone for your old gold and through Saturday they will pay an additional 5% of your gold sale to the Duluth Heritage Sports Center.
For example, sell Security Jewelers $400 worth of gold and Security Jewelers will give the Duluth Heritage Sports Center $20. Just mention Howie sent you.
Better yet get a Security Jewelers gift card instead of a check and receive an additional 20%. That would turn that $400 check into a $480.
Security Jewelers gift card and the Duluth Heritage Sports Center would still get $20! The gift card is good on anything in the store including repairs, special orders and and even their famous custom design.
This offer ends Saturday, so act now. Security Jewelers is located downtown at 307 West Superior St. No appointment is required. Security Jewelers is open Monday-Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Remember to mention Howie sent you.

Two Duluth businesses, Cirrus Design and WestmorelandFlint, were recognized this week with silver and gold ADDY Awards at the American Advertising Federation’s District 8 competition.
Competing against advertising agencies, corporate marketing departments, design firms and the like from all across Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and the Dakotas, the winning local firms faced thousands of other entrants in a highly-contested creative event.
WestmorelandFlint, the area’s largest advertising, marketing and public relations firm, won a gold ADDY for a Udac Mailing and Shredding Services Campaign which featured a shredded magazine insert. The agency also received a silver award for a printed napkin invitation for the Kitchi Gammi Club’s 125th Anniversary. Cirrus Design, the maker of Cirrus aircraft, was awarded a silver ADDY for a direct mail piece created in house which featured The-Jet, Cirrus’ upcoming jet-powered aircraft.
The Udac campaign, along with 42 other gold winners at the district level, will now advance to the national competition in Atlanta.
